PENGARUH EFIKASI DIRI, KONSEP DIRI, AKTIVITAS BELAJAR DAN KEMANDIRIAN BELAJAR TERHADAP HASIL BELAJAR MATEMATIKA PADA SISWA KELAS VII SMP NEGERI SE- KECEMATAN SOMBA OPU

Abstract

The main problem of the study was a qualified education which not determined by one factor, namely students’ learning outcomes, a reflection from learning effort, but the better the learning effors, the better the outcomes would be. A good learning outcomes culd be achieved whwn students could overcome learning problems; however, several variables would influence one another. The population was students of SMPN in Somba Opu subdistrict. Data were collected through 284 students as the samples of the study selected by employing equal size cluster random sampling technique. The study aimed at examining (1) the description of self efficacy, self concept, learning activity, independent learning, and mathematics learning outcomes, (2) the influence of self efficacy toward mathematics learning outcomes of students directly and indirectly through independent learning, (3) the influence of self concept toward mathematics learning outcomes of students directly and indirectly through independent learning, (4) the influence of learning activity toward mathematics learning outcomes of students directly and indirectly through independent learning. Data werw analyzed using descriptive statistics analysis and path analysis. The results of the study revealed that (1) most of grade VII students at SMPN in Somba Opu subdistrirct have self efficacy with high category, self concept with high category, learning activity with extremely high category, independent learning learning with high category, and mathematics learning outcomes with high category, (2) self afficacy gave positive and significant influence toward mathematics learning outcomes directly and indirectly through independent learning self concept gave positive and significant influence toward mathematics learning outcomes directly and indirectly through independent learning, and learning activity gave positive and significant influence toward mathematics learning outcomes and indirectly through independent learning.
