PENGARUH GAYA KEPEMIMPINAN DAN KOMPETENSI TERHADAP KINERJA GURU SD NEGERI SE-KECAMATAN PITUMPANUA KABUPATEN WAJO

Abstract

This research aim to anlaysis the effect of leadership style toward performance by teacher of Elementary School on Pitumpanua District Wajo Regency, to anlaysis the effect of competence toward performance by teacher of Elementary School on Pitumpanua District Wajo Regency, and to anlaysis between leadership style and competence which dominant effect toward performance by teacher of Elementary School on Pitumpanua District Wajo Regency. This type of research is quantitative designed to answer the problem that have been formulated and the objectives to be achieved and test the hypothesis. The sample size was chosen using the full sampling as amount 128 responden (take all of population teacher of Elementary School on Pitumpanua District Wajo Regency). Data analysis used descriptive analysis and multiple linier regression analysis. The result of the study found that leadership style have positive and significant effect toward performance by teacher. The leadership which applied such as instruction, consultation, participation and delegation from headmaster to each elementary school in Pitumpanua District Wajo Regency which direction of teacher to increased the performance. The competence have positive and significant effect toward performance by teacher. The profession of teacher must have pedagogic, professional, character and social interaction competencies which become the important asset by school which contribution toward performance. The competence of teacher in learning of student suitable with the ability of teacher in make of silabus, mastery of matery, mastery of method and strategy in learning, to give of task to student, management of student and applied of evaluation the result of study by student.
