Abstract

These research aim to anlaysis the effect of recruitment toward performance by employee on Pelindo IV Ltd. Makassar, to anlaysis the effect of motivation toward performance by employee on Pelindo IV Ltd. Makassar, and to anlaysis between recruitment and motivation which dominant effect toward performance by employee on Pelindo IV Ltd. Makassar. This type of research is quantitative designed to answer the problem that have been formulated and the objectives to be achieved and test the hypothesis. The sample size was chosen using the slovin formulation as amount 178 responden. Data analysis used descriptive analysis and multiple linier regression analysis. The result of the study found that recruitment have positive and significant toward performance by employee. The company of Pelindo IV Ltdk. Makassar have applied the recruitment system to all of employee which through the process recruitment such as registration, selection, interview and placement suitable with competence which contribution toward increased the performance by employee. The motivation have positive and significant effect toward performance by employee. The employee on Pelindo IV Ltd. Makassar have spirit in work of main task and function suitable the sufficient of need of life, physic, family, social, job, productive and creativity, which support in achieved the performance it. The motivation have dominant effect which positive and significant toward performance by employee. That showed the sufficient of motivation that is very important where the employee which applied of main task and function can to achieved the result of work in quantity, quality, efficient, effective and have consistence with the organization regulation.
