Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of work discipline on employee performance, the effect of giving awards on employee performance, and thesimultaneous effect of work discipline and awarding on employeeperformance at KPPBC Tipe Madya Pabean B Makassar. Type of research was quantitative which was designed to answer the problems that have been formulated and the objectives to be achieved as well as to test hypotheses. The population of the study was all employees of KPPBC Tipe Madya Pabean B Makassar, with the total population was 117 people. The sampling technique used was Slovin technique that obtained 91 respondents. Data analysis used descriptive analysis and multiple linear regression analysis. The results of the study found that work discipline has a significant effect on employee performance. The magnitude value of positive work discipline indicates the higher the work discipline shown, the higher the employee performance at KPPBC Tipe Madya Pabean B Makassar. Giving awards has a significant effect on employee performance. The magnitude of the positive award shows that employees are happy with the award received and are eager to improve their performance. Work discipline and awarding simultaneously have an effect on employee performance at KPPBC Tipe Madya Pabean B Makassar. This means that the increase in performance is determined by the quantity, quality, efficiency, effectiveness and work loyalty achieved cannot be separated from the application of work discipline and giving awards to employees
