Abstract

This research aims to find out and analyze the effect of competence and local wisdom, and to find out the dominant variable which has a strong correlation to the career development on Lembaga Pemasyarakatan Narkotika Klas IIA Sungguminasa, Gowa Regency. This research was conducted in Lembaga Pemasyarakatan Narkotika Klas IIA Sungguminasa, Gowa Regency, with population and sample as amount of 124 respondents. The data in this research were analyzed descriptively to explain the research data, while to analyzed the data used Chi-Square analysis. The result of the research showed that competence and local wisdom have a positive and significant correlation with the career development of employees in Lembaga Pemasyarakatan Narkotika Klas IIA Sungguminasa, Gowa Regency. The employees' potential has been actualized in career development which suitable for career growth, career exploration, career formed, career adjustment and career declining while carrying out the duties and functions.
