Abstract

This research aimed to determine the influence of discipline and culture on employee performance, culture of employee performance, and to know which variable most influences employee performance. The research location was Balai Pemasyarakatan Kelas I in Makassar, with the number of population and sample was 85 people. The data analysis used was descriptive analysis in order to explain research data, whereas to analyze quantitative data by using multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed that discipline has a positive and significant effect on employee performance. Employees have shown their discipline in working in the form of crafts, attendance, punctuality, compliance and are willing to accept sanctions if they violate them, thus affecting the performance of Balai Pemasyarakatan Kelas I in Makassar. Culture influences employee performance. Every employee in carrying out the duties and functions of implementing work culture traditions that applied in the organization in the form of integrity, identity, responsibility, commitment and results-oriented, which affected the performance improvement in Balai Pemasyarakatan Kelas I in Makassar. The dominant discipline influences employee performance. This means that every employee is required to be disciplined in carrying out the duties and authorities given that affected the achievement of quantity, quality, efficiency, effectiveness and work loyalty to the organization at Balai Pemasyarakatan Kelas I in Makassar.
