This research aims to find out the correlation between leg length and the 100-meter

running ability, the correlation between leg explosive power and the 100-meter

running ability, the correlation between foot reaction speed and the 100-meter

running ability, the correlation between leg length, leg explosive power and foot

reaction speed simultaneously to the 100-meter running ability. The research

method used is a quantitative research method and this research is correlational

research involving three independent variables, namely leg length, leg explosive

power and foot reaction speed, while the dependent variable is the 100-meter

running ability. The population in this research were students of PENJASKESREK

STKIP YPUP Makassar 2018 in the even semester of the 2021/2022 academic year.

The sample was 30 students taken by simple random sampling technique. The data

analysis technique used is the correlation coefficient. The results of the research

showed that: 1) There was a significant correlation between leg length and the 100-

meter running ability with a value of r = -0.736; 2) There is a significant correlation

between leg explosive power and the 100-meter running ability with a value of

r=0.742; 3) There was a significant correlation between foot reaction speed and the

100-meter running ability with a value of r=-0.738; 4) There is a significant

correlation between leg length, leg explosive power and foot reaction speed

simultaneously to the 100-meter running ability with a value of R = 0.883.
