Abstract

This research aimed to prove the correlation of leg muscle strength to the shooting ability. The correlation of eye-leg to the shooting. The correlation of leg muscle strength and eye-leg coordination to the shooting ability. Research method that used was quantitative research method and the kind of this research was correlation research with involve two independent variable that is leg muscle strength and eyeleg coordination, while dependent variable that is shooting ability. Population of this research was the students of PENJASKESREK STKIP YPUP Makassar in 2018 for the second semester in academic year 2021/2022, with sample 30 students which taken in a simple random sampling. Technique data analysis that used was coefficient correlation. The result of this research show that: 1) There is a significant correlation of leg muscle strength to the shooting ability with score r = 0.627. 2) There is a significant correlation of eye-leg coordination to the shooting ability with score r = 0,601. 3) There is a significant correlation of leg muscle strength and eye-leg coordination simultaneously to the shooting ability with score r = 0.696.
