PENINGKATAN HASIL BELAJAR SISWA PADA PEMBELAJARAN MATEMATIKA MELALUI MODEL PEMBELAJARAN CORE SISWA KELAS VIII SMP YP PGRI 4 MAKASSAR

Abstract

This study is aimed to improve student learning outcomes through CORE (Connecting, Organizing, Reflecting, Extending) learning model. This research was classroom action research (CAR). The subject in this study was class VIII students of SMP YP PGRI 4 Makassar, totaling 25 students. The data collection technique used tests, student activity observation sheets, learning implementation sheets and student response questionnaires which were carried out in every cycle. Data analysis was carried out by qualitative and quantitative methods. From the results of the study, it was concluded that: (1) there was an improving of students' mathematics learning outcomes from cycle I to cycle II, which was marked by an increasing in the average score of 63.04 from the ideal score of 100 with complete learning outcomes of 32 which were in the complete category in cycle I, and in cycle II the average score of students increased to 85.52 from the ideal score of 100 with complete learning outcomes of 96 which were in the complete category with the standard deviation at the end of cycle II was 7.933. The acquisition of students' mathematics learning outcomes categorized as complete in the first cycle was 8 students to 24 students in the second cycle, (2) there was an improving of student activity, namely in the first cycle categorized active and in the second cycle categorized very active, (3) the implementation of learning in the first cycle was in the good category and the implementation of learning in the second cycle increased to very good, (4) there was an improving in student responses, namely in the first cycle it was in good category and in the second cycle it increased to very good.
