PENGARUH PENDAMPINGAN ORANG TUA TERHADAP KEAKTIFAN BELAJAR MATEMATIKA SISWA KELAS VII SMP HASANUDDIN GOWA

Abstract
This research was aimed to measure the influence of parental assistance on the mathematics learning activity of the seventh-grade students at SMP Hasanuddin Gowa. This research was an ex-post facto research, with two variables, namely parental assistance (X) and students' activeness on mathematics learning (Y). The population was all seventh-grade students of SMP Hasanuddin Gowa. The results of descriptive statistical analysis showed that the average score of parental assistance was 51.14 with a standard deviation of 5.369, while the average score of students' activeness on mathematics learning was 55.76, standard deviation 5.999. From the results of inferential analysis, it was obtained that the simple linear regression equation was Y = 24.919 + 0.603X, with the results of the significance test of regression equation coefficient obtained t count = 2.795 > t table (0.05;19) = 1.730 or 0.01 <0.05 which means H0 was rejected or the regression coefficient was significant. Thus, parental assistance affects the activeness of learning mathematics of seventh grade students of SMP Hasanuddin Gowa with a contribution of about 29.16%.
