Abstract

This research aims at finding out the Effectiveness of implementing Scaffolding learning strategy for Math for the eighth-grade students of SMP YP PGRI 4 Makassar on SPLDV Material. This research is a pre-experimental design with the one-group pretest-posttest. The sample of the research is 17 students in academic year 2021/2022. The data is analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. Descriptive analysis found that 1) the average score before scaffolding learning is 46.71 as categorized low. 2) The average of learning achievement after implementing scaffolding is 80.06 as categorized high. 3) Students’ activity during learning process is 87.5% as categorized good. 4) Teacher’s activity during teaching is 83.85 as categorized very good. 5) Students’ response during learning process is 90.59% as categorized as very positive. 6) Students’ learning achievement improves from pretest to posttest with the gain value is 0.63 as categorized as average.
