Abstract

This research was experimental research, using one group pretest-posttest research design. This research was a imed to know the effectiveness learning in mathematic sthrough Realistic Mathematic Education (RME) approachat theeighth-grade students of SMP YP PGRI 4 Makassar in 2021/2022 academic yearwith total students were 23 students by using saturated sample technique becauseof taking one class. Technique collecting data used students’ result test. Technique data analyzing using descriptive statistics analysis, inferential statistics, and N-gain test. The research result showed that: 1) The pretest result was 56.08 on the averagecategory with standard deviation 13.05, 2) The posttest result was improved 77.95 on the excellent category with standard deviation 9.78 and 3) Test inggain analysis test obtainable N-gain score normalized (G) attheexperimental class that is 0.51 interpretation gain the average students’ learning out comes classified excellent. Based on the all of the result, it can be concluded that Realistic Mathematic Education (RME) approachis effective in learning Mathematics to the learning outcomes at the Eighth-Grade students of SMP YPPGRI4 Makassar.
