Abstract

This research aims to increase the mathematical creativity of class VIIA SMP YPPGRI 4 Makassar in 2021/2022 academic year in the odd semester by applying the Creative Problem Solving learning model. This research is a Classroom Action Research (CAR). The subjects in this research were students of class VIIA SMP YP-PGRI 4 Makassar, totaling 17 students. This classroom action research was carried out in two cycles. Data collection techniques through observation, documentation, tests and questionnaires. The data analysis technique used is quantitative analysis consisting of mean, median, mode, variance, standard deviation, maximum and minimum values, range. The results of data analysis showed that the average mathematical creativity of students in solving test in the first cycle was 61.76 with a completeness of 29.41%. While in cycle II the results of data analysis showed that the average mathematical creativity of students in solving test was 78.47 with completeness of 88.24%. So it can be concluded that the application of Creative Problem Solving (CPS) learning model can increase students' mathematical creativity.
