MENINGKATKAN KEMAMPUAN SISWA DALAM MEMECAHKAN MASALAH MATEMATIKA MENGGUNAKAN METODE PROBLEM SOLVING PADA SISWA KELAS X SMA PGRI 2 MAKASSAR

Abstrak

This study aims to improve the ability to solve mathematical problems in class X SMA PGRI 2 Makassar through learning problem solving methods. This research is Classroom Action Research (PTK) with the research subjects being class X students of SMA PGRI 2 Makassar in the even semester of 2021/2022, totaling 10 students. Data collection was carried out using a learning achievement test at the end of the cycle and observations made every time the learning process took place. The collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistical analysis. The results showed that the average score of students' mathematics learning outcomes in cycle I was 51.80 and the standard deviation was 7.575, then in cycle II the average score of students' mathematics learning outcomes was 77.70 and the standard deviation was 11.595. Completeness of classical learning outcomes in cycle I is 10% and in cycle II there is an increase of 80%. From the results of this study it can be concluded that the application of problem solving learning methods can improve student learning outcomes.
