Abstract

This research was classroom action research that aimed to empower teachers insolving learning problems in schools in order to improve the quality of learning.This research was carried out for 2 cycles, the first cycle consisted of 4 meetingsand the second cycle also consisted of 4 meetings. The instruments used in thisresearch was the end-of-cycle test to measure mathematical reasoning ability byapplying CORE learning model, student response question naires, and learning implementation observation guide lines which were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively with the strongest documentation results. The results of this research in dicated that mathematical reasoning ability at the seventh grade students of SMP Budi Mulia Kalukku has increased from cycle 1 to cycle 2 after carrying out the learning process with CORE learning model. Judging from the average score of the overall reasoning indicators in cycle 1was 57.80% and increased in cycle 2 to 86.54% while the average score of students' scores in cycle1 reached 55.26 with a standard deviation of 17.64 and in cycle 1 2 The average score of students reached 84.26 with a standard deviation of 10.50. Completeness obtained by students in cycle 1 with a percentage of 33.33% then increased incycle 2 with a percentage of students who completed 86.66%. So in this research it was concluded that applying CORE learning can improve students' mathematical reasoning ability at the seventh grade students of SMP Budi Mulia Kalukku.
