Abstract

This study aims to describe the effectiveness of the power of two method in learning mathematics. The population in this study were all students of class VII.c SMP NEGERI 2 Bangkelekila' for the 2019/2020 academic year with a total of 112 students while the sample in this study consisted of 26 people from class VII-c using the cluster random sampling technique. The collected data were analyzed with descriptive and inferential statistics. From the results obtained: (1) the results of learning pretest mathematics is 20.31 which is in the less category (2) The results of learning mathematics posttest reach KKM, namely 70.35 which is in the category quite good (3) Improved student learning outcomes after implementation the power of two method in the medium category is 0.6285%. (4) The implementation of learning is in the very good category with an average percentage of 82.4%. (5) Student activity is in the very active category with an average percentage of 91.66%. (6) The student response questionnaire is in a very positive category with an average percentage of 96.15%. (7) Then based on the results of inferential analysis for the pretest normality test obtained
