Abstract

This research aims at describing the effectiveness of CORE learning model with contextual approach towards the students’ learning outcomes. This research was an experimental research with pretest-posttest design. The population of this research was the eighth grade students of SMP Swasta Salubakka with 31 studens which also used as sample. The results showed that: (1) student learning outcomes of studens before applying CORE learning model with contextual approach was 49,74, it was in low category; (2) the learning outcomes of studens after applying CORE learning model with contextual approach was 88,451, it was in very high category; (3) the percentage of students’ learning completeness after applying CORE learning model with contextual approach was 100, it means complete; (4) the percentage of students’ activities was 76,6, it was categorized as active; (5) the percentage of student’ response in learning was 78,709, it was categoruzed as positive, (6) the percentage of mastery after learning by CORE learning model with contextual approach was 76.92 it was categorized as good. Based on the research, it cane be concluded that learning by CORE learning with contextual approach effectively improving students’ learning outcomes.
