Abstract

This research was a classroom action research (CAR) which was carried out in 2 cycles. Each cycle included four stages, namely: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. This study was aimed to determine whether the application of the quantum teaching learning model can improve the quality of learning of class VII students at SMP YP PGRI 4 Makassar. The subject of this study was all students of class VII SMP YP PGRI 4 Makassar in academic year 2021/2022, totaling 21 students. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation and learning outcomes tests. All data collected were analyzed by using quantitative and qualitative data analysis. Based on the results of observations of student activities, there was an increasing from 61.53% in the first cycle and 88.81% in the second cycle, the average learning outcomes also increased from the first cycle of 74.04 increased in the second cycle to 86.81 and overall mastery classical also increased from the first cycle of 81% increased in the second cycle of 95.23% and had met the indicators of success. From the results of this study and data analysis, it can be concluded that the application of the quantum teaching model to class VII students of SMP YP PGRI 4 Makassar improved the quality of learning on the set material.
