ANALISIS KEMAMPUAN KOMUNIKASI MATEMATIS BERDASARKAN GAYA BELAJAR PADA MATERI HIMPUNAN SISWA KELAS VII A SMP NEGERI 2 KOTABARU

Abstract

This study aims to determine (a) mathematical communication skills, visual learning styles, (b) mathematical communication skills, Auditorial learning styles in students of SMP Negeri 5 Kotabaru.
The method used in this study is a qualitative research method that is descriptive. Data collection was carried out using learning style questionnaires, tests of mathematical communication skills with set material, and interviews. The data analysis techniques used are reducing data, presenting data, and drawing conclusions. The research subjects consisted of 2 class students who were divided into 1 visual learning style subject, and 1 auditorial learning style subject.
The results of this study show that visual learning style is better mathematical communication skills than auditorial learning style 1) visual learning style subjects are able to analyze, interpret, and evaluate mathematical ideas both orally and in writing. 2) The subject of auditorial learning style has not been able to analyze and evaluate mathematically both orally and in visual form of the problem properly based on the problem given.
