Abstract

This research aims to determine the mathematical communication skill ability at the eighth grade students of MTs DDI Makassar before applying reverse learning model and after applying reverse learning model. The population of the research was all students of the eighth grade students of MTs DDI Makassar class VIII MTs DDI Makassar. The sample was all population of the eighth grader, with the total sample was 12 students which consisted of 6 male students and 6 female students. The data analysis used in this research was descriptive analysis and inferential analysis. The results of descriptive statistical analysis were obtained: (1) the pretest was categorized as less successful with an average value of 45.41 with a standard deviation of 8.05: (2) the posttest was categorized as very good with an average value of 76.75 with a standard deviation of 2.89. While the results of the inferential analysis, the sig value is less than 0.05 which means that it accepts H1. So it can be concluded that the application of the reverse learning model affects the mathematical communication skill at the eighth grade students of MTs DDI Makassar class VIII MTs DDI Makassar.
