Abstract

This research aims to improve the learning outcomes of class VIISMP YP PGRI 4 Makassar students by implementing the group investigation cooperative learning model. This research is classroom action research (PTK) the subjects in this research are class VII students of SMP YP PGRI 4 Makassar, totaling 17 students. This classroom action research consists of two cycles, data collection techniques through observation, documentation and tests. The data analysis technique used is quantitative analysis, namely mean, median, mode, variance, standard deviation, maximum, minimum and range values. The results of data analysis show that the average student mathematics learning outcome in cycle I is 67.53 with a completeness of 64.70%, while in cycle II data analysis shows that the average student mathematics learning outcome is 82.47 with a completeness of 88.23%. So it can be concluded that the application of the cooperative group investigation (GI) learning model can improve student mathematics learning outcomes.
