M STRATEGI EKONOMI IBU PEDAGANG PASAR TRADISIONAL DALAM MENIGKATKAN PENDAPATAN KELUARGA DI PASAR JIPANG KELURAHAN RAPPOCINI KOTA MAKASSAR

Abstract

This research aims to find out: 1) What are the strategies used by traditional market traders in the Jipang market to increase family income. 2) What is the impact of the strategies carried out by traditional market traders in the Japanese market. This type of research is descriptive qualitative research using a qualitative approach. The selection of informants used a purposive sampling technique with a total of 4 informants. The criteria for informants were selected and adjusted to research needs so that researchers could find out what kind of strategies were carried out by traditional market traders in the Japanese market. Techniques for collecting primary data were through observation, interviewing informants in depth, and secondary data was taken through tracking documentation. The data collection techniques used are: observation, interviews and documentation. The data obtained was then analyzed using descriptive qualitative through three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions.


The results of this research show that the strategies used by traditional market traders in the Japanese market to increase family income are active strategies and passive strategies. Active strategies are used to increase sales and family income by taking various actions to optimize existing conditions, namely by selling from morning to evening and being assisted by family members in selling their merchandise. Meanwhile, passive strategies are used to earn income by reducing expenses. Then the impact of the economic strategies carried out by traditional market traders can be seen in terms of sales and the traders' income is increasing.
