THE USE OF PLOTAGON ENHANCES THE STUDENTS’ ENGLISH WRITING SKILL AT THE SMK TAMALATEA MAKASSAR
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine whether the use of plotagon can improve the writing skill of second grade students at SMK Tamalatea Makassar. The method in this research was a pre-experimental method. The population from this study are second grade of SMK Tamalatea Makassar consisting of 20 students by using purposive sampling technique. Data were collected through the results of students writing skill by applying a plotagon. The data showed that there was a difference score between pre-test and post-test. It indicated that the t-test value was higher that the t-table (-15,394 > 2,093) at significant level of significant 0,05 and df=19. It means that Null Hypothesis is rejected while the Alternative Hypothesis is accepted. Based on the result of the research, it can be concluded that the use of plotagon can improve the writing skill of second grade students at SMK Tamalatea Makassar.
