THE IMPLEMENTATION OF HELLOTALK APPLICATION IN TEACHING VOCABULARY AT THE SECOND GRADE STUDENTS OF SMP YP PGRI 4 MAKASSAR
Abstract
This research aimed to focus on the implementation of Hellotalk Application in teaching vocabulary. This research applied a pre-experimental method. The population was the second-grade students of SMP YP PGRI 4 Makassar and the sample was 20 students taken by using purposive sampling technique. In collecting data, the researcher used written tests in pre-test and post-test. The result showed that the mean score of post-test was higher than the mean score of pre-test (54.6>87.9). The T-test value greater than the T-table value (10.26>2.093) at the 0.05 significant level. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that Hellotalk Application can improve students’ vocabulary of SMP YP PGRI 4 Makassar.
