Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Inquiry dalam Pendidikan Jasmani Untuk Meningkatkan Self-Efficacy Siswa

Abstract

Curriculum demands scientific approach to learning and emphasizes the learning objectives in the affective domain, including in physical education. This research was
conducted to find an increase in students self-efficacy of the basic techniques of the the big ball games learning with inquiry model conducted in a MTsN (Islamic Junior High School) in Bone regency. This study uses a true experimental method with randomize design pretest-posttest group control. Some eighth grade students (n = 60) was involved as a research sample taken at cluster random sampling technique. The experimental group consisted of 30 students who participated in the inquiry learning model and the control group consisted of 30 students who participated in direct instructional model. Research carried out for seven weeks. Data collection techniques using self-efficacy scale of basic techniques big ball game. Data processing used techniques through tests of normality and homogeneity, and t-test with SPSS 18 and  Microsoft Office Excel. The data analysis result showed: (1) There are significant differences between pretest and posttest scores of self-efficacy students through inquiry learning model; (2) There are significant differences between self-efficacy scores of students who follow the model of inquiry learning and direct learning model.
